Schools in NJ have the largest rate of misuse of public funds in the state. ANY contractor that does work for a school system will tell you that it is their most lucrative contract. Why is that?
The answer is because people managing public funds don't treat the money like it is coming out of their pockets (just ask the township committee).
I could send a child to "Friends School" for what I am paying for school taxes in Edgewater Park! Having had the benefit of living in multiple towns in NJ, I can tell you that NONE of our tax dollars are managed properly in EP.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589862023209978603.post-47150831678976598462008-04-15T11:55:00.000-04:002008-04-15T11:55:00.000-04:00You know what...I think you should just vote down ...You know what...I think you should just vote down the school budget every year, let the schools go to crap so your property value goes down more and your kids can't get a proper education. Take away all the government services: fire, police, municipal...have absolutely nothing. Just let all us residents do everything our selves for free and homeschool the kids. Since ther won't be any taxes we won't need jobs and can take care of all of this work....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589862023209978603.post-35916996121244390272008-04-14T23:56:00.000-04:002008-04-14T23:56:00.000-04:00WHY ARE OUR SCHOOL TAXES GOING UP AGAIN, WHEN WE H...WHY ARE OUR SCHOOL TAXES GOING UP AGAIN, WHEN WE HAVE RECEIVED MORE STATE MONEY? OTHER TOWNS ARE EITHER STAYING THE SAME AS 2007 OR ACTUALLY GOING DOWN. Then they raised taxes to make up the shortfall from the tuition money. Come on now. Each year the newspapers show the statewide test scores and our No Child Left Behind rankings we get lower! Throwing money at the problem doesn't seem to be a solution.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7589862023209978603.post-74638222526479063072008-04-14T19:12:00.000-04:002008-04-14T19:12:00.000-04:00Aren't these the same people that have raised our ...Aren't these the same people that have raised our school taxes in the past...Who can we write-in?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
