Edgewater Park Township Committee and the Essex Mountain Sanatorium

In these articles Mayor Hall states that it is not safe for children to play in the streets. Do you know that residents when crossing at the designated crosswalk between Cooper and Franklin encounter a long stretch where there are no sidewalks. At the January meeting Mayor Hall said give them time. How can such a casual response be given to such a serious problem? Should a child, or an adult for that matter, get hit by a car while walking in the street since there are no sidewalks, you better believe someone will pay for that. They don't seem to be in a hurry to correct this very dangerous and costly (if an incident should occur) problem. You should check out the minutes from the Jan meeting for further comments from the Mayor in reagards to this matter. I guess it helps to have a friendly connection to the mayor!
