Cook, Crespo, and Chaos - The "Government of Beverly City".

It's no wonder that there are more houses in Beverly for sale today than at any time in the history of the Burlington County MLS. Our house is also up for sale although we haven't allowed the Realtor to put up a sign since our street doesn't get any drive-by traffic and no one in town would want to buy a house here if they can get out.

Ive lived in Beverly for 44 years and I have never seen it this bad, its bad al over but the way the government is run is terrible, ive not been able to sell my house unless i give it away, two years ago i picked up a house in North Carolina that is perfect and thats where im going the taxes on my house there are 1,100$/year and its in a great neighborhood.... I refuse to pay the taxes in beverly any longer so last week I called Hargrove Demolition and got an estimate on demolishing my house then i will have to pay taxes on vacant land until somebody buys the land or ill just give it to charity, but the satisfaction of seeing my house taken away in a dumpster and decreasing Beverlys tax base just a little, you may think im making a mistake but with the cheaper living in NC ill break even in 1 1/2 years on the demolition with what ive saved in taxes, good bye beverly, i never thought it would come to this, anger in the town toward the city is widespread but most people are trapped, get out if you can, things arent going to change

Is it me or did we vote this loser into office. Hmmmm- I sure know that I did NOT vote for him, and niether did my neighbors! I winder what Crespo and Sergeant Lazy think of the signs around town supporting Tony Pearce? I know I feel safer when he is working, but sadly one of the many moving out of town. Let's see - Crespo in City Counsel and Sergeant Lazy by his side? No thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear EPR, a while back your site hosted an article on the Edgewater Park Board of Education employing a part time seasonal contractor (John Stidfole) of Stidfole & Associates. (Great Article!) As posted, Mr. Stidfole was initially a paid contractor for years doing all of the school districts hvac work. Now I see the proof in the schools minutes of the obsurd amount that is being paid to him (at the tax payers expense no less) for a job that seems to have been "created"? Isn't this part of the current spending uproar going on with the states school systems abroad? Talk about Paying to Play!
Do they not have confident maintenance personell already in place that can do this type of work? How did they get by all those years before? According to the minutes Mr. Stidfole works only two days A WEEK not to exceed $25,000 dollars!!!!???? They can be found here in Article VIII A-6:

http://www.edgewaterpark.k12.nj.us/133010726122354530/lib/133010726122354530/_files/Minutes_BOE_Mtg_9_22_09.doc

I must say it must be nice to have a manufactured job in our town that pays as much as this one does for the type of work being done. (like a consultant) Who could ask for anything better? First your paid to do the work as a contractor then hired on to maintain and fix the stuff you've already got paid to install!!
Maybe perhaps the next time us tax payers see Mr Stidfole driving his big blue truck around town and BS'ing in the local 7-11 store we can all thank him for his tireless effort in making sure our school districts hvac systems are running top notch. I'm sure with his schedule it'll probably be one of his days off that you see him. After all, he still has an alleged contracting business to run thats still in operation according the states business gateway.
Keep up the great work!

Now lets think about it. Who else would say what a great article that was besides one of the reporters themselves? If it was such a great article and is so unfair. How come nothing has been done about it? Could be no one takes the reporters trash as serious. Or it's just a bunch of lies. Either way shows just how effective your silly blog really is!

Thats okay, EP's school system is already on the states radar, seems over the years a lot of money has been spent in certain places. Hopefully CC's office will live up to their promises! Heck, maybe we'll get a rebate! I'd like to see some of the other justifications for paying what they do! It's also not just them, this has been going on for years in NJ.

To Five Finger Louie and JB-Car 54,
is this blog getting to you? Must be, judging by your anonymous comments that we will not post because of their poor taste. Still waiting for your building permits to be closed out and your properties inspected.
We have a question for the Beverly City Building Inspector. Can you close out a permit if your property is on the Beverly City tax delinquency list or are elected officials exempted?

@E. Franklin Resident: Well no kidding! Its not everyday people can retire off of their administrative pensions due to salary increases over the years like one of EP's former IT dept. staff. She can thank her hubby for the wealthy check increases and promotions. All the while the work was farmed out. I hope my pension there gets to be that big! Shame!
Funny though, not one public resident of edgewater park EVER goes to a school board meeting! NOT ONE! PS - I checked that site out, wheres all the rest of the minutes that the edgewater park schoolboard is supposed to post?
