Edgewater Park Committee To Make Deal for Drive Inn Property

On 5/22/09 the BCT listed a Legal Notice from the Township Clerk/Administrator, that the Township Committee approved for final adoption, Ordinance No. 2009-6.

This is "An Ordinance of the Township of Edgewater Park, in the County of Burlington, New Jersey, authorizing the township to sell certain real property in the township; Authorizing the preparation and execution of a Development Agreement between the Township and the Miller Group; further authorizing the preparation of an amended Redevelopment Plan for Block 1202, Lot 4.01 and other adjacent properties."

When did Committee discuss the sale of the township owned property (Old Drive Inn), during a public meeting? Was this sale listed as an Agenda item of discussion for an open public meeting? Was it posted on the Township Web Site? How much will the Township receive for the sale of this property and when? Did the Township Committee get an appraisal of this property to establish a value?

Talk about sweet deals. Who is the Miller Group and why is the Township Committee giving them a Redevelopment Deal (Tax Abatement), without a Public Hearing?

Stay tuned Edgewater Park Taxpayers, your about to get fleeced again. When you have deals being made in the back room by the Township Committee, you know who is being screwed! The Edgewater Park Taxpayer.

Well, I am one person surprised at this action. I thought Kevin and Darrell would bring integrity and openness to the Township Committee. If this move is true, I can see my trust was misplaced and I am very disappointed.

Damn reporter you sure do ask a lot of questions. I mean you don't know if it was discussed at a public meeting, you don't know if it was on the township website. I mean really do you know anything? Well somehow you know it's a sweet deal for the Miller group. So tell me, there should be a public meeting so all the people that don't understand these politics (I mean besides our own committee members)can pretend that they do? I'll stayed tuned reporter but then again I've heard that one before too.

What a wonderful world it would be if we were all as smart as YBF and Anonymous HA HA HA. Their comments tell volumes about their intelligence. Take a look around Beverly because thats what Edgewater Park will look like in 40 years because thats how long it took Beverly to the condition it is in today.

Like I don't know that's you reporter ha ha ha! YES! It would be a wonderful world if people like you were only half as smart as I am in fact. As you reject reality and substitute your own. Good idea to take a look around Beverly. People are trying to do something about the problems but I don't expect you to see it with all that gunk in your brain. So what makes you think it took 40 years for Beverly to be in that "condition"? Is that when you moved here and started the down swing? Clearly you have no clue to what is really going on, and as long as you keep posting your opinions I will continue to point out how spineless and brainless you are. Beverly is probably in better condition than EP is in right now. One good reason is that you don't live here! Besides you sure won't be around in 40 years will ya? Between age and "personal" problems I am sure we'll be rid of you long before that!

Poor anonymous your trust was misplaced. BOOOO HOOO A repeat of the coat factory in the name of "look what I did while I was in office" Surprise, surprise! Prayed on again by big business. Now I wonder who's fault that really is?

To make it easier to get used to where we're heading, use the same technique as going into the water. Drive across the highway and ride around for a while and then come back and cross the tracks and do the same thing.

The Edgewater Park Township Committee was planning on introducing the budget at the June 16th meeting. It was not on the agenda for the meeting or mentioned during the Report of Officials. This administration needs to stop dragging their (her) feet every year and face the fact that no one is coming to their aid with "magic money"!
