Can you guess what City Councilman this is?

Can you guess the identity of this Beverly Councilman?

Beverly Guest Tax Payer

Lets see where this guest post takes us. I have removed the email account name due to threats made against this blog via the Edgewaterparkreporter@yahoo.com mail box. I am not concerned but I understand that someone in Beverly is trying to create an atmosphere of fear, so that people don't look into the actions or question the actions of certain elected officials. Boy this sounds like Edgewater Park.

That tail does look familiar, kind of like a hair style, slicked back and greasy. That pointed nose; oh I just figured it out. Oops, I don't want to be sued.

anonymous 9-18-08 7:48AM is KH or Low Cesspool showing how superior their minds are to us less intelligent people. Watch your windows and check for recording devices because the rat is a-stirring.
P.S., I keep reading the online edition of the BCT waiting for the BIG STORY, am I waisting my time?

Um, a "drug dealer from The Gardens area." That, Sir, is NOT truth. That, Sir, is slander. Do you see the difference?
You can have your opinion, and that's fine. You think he's a rat, that's fine as well. I can't help but notice you don't sign your name, but whatever. Since you're hiding and being sneaky (like a rat) are you sure this isn't a picture of yourself?
And quite frankly, I'm sick of you guys STILL whining that "Oh, he's such a rat. He's such a snake in the grass. He's so evil..." Get over it! You know, if you didn't threaten him when he planned to not vote the way you guys told him to vote -to appoint DON'S old COACH'S Engineer (?) firm -which was wel more expensive then the firm that was in there. (Whose best interest is at heart there? Certainly doesn't seem to be The City's, but then again...) Then just kept trying to make things difficult just because he wasn't voting the way you told him to vote, then you wouldn't have been crying that you lost control because YOU wouldn't have PUSHED him out of the party. You wanted him gone, so he left your party. He was gone from you, but not gone the way you wanted. YOU lost control for yourselves. So stop whining about it, and MOVE ON!
And it's simply amazing how he'll have an idea introduced at a meeting, and it's shot down by one of the Dynamic Duo, only to be brought back up again -by one of the Dynamic Duo six months later, but as their own idea. (Check the minutes.)
I get that each party wants to take credit for making Beverly a better place to live. Don't even try to say that they don't. Notice I said "each" party. I'm not singling one out over the other. It's time to take a step back here though. This is Beverly. It's not about you. It's not about them. It's not about D or R. It's about Beverly as a whole. It's time to move past your petty differences. You were voted into office to make Beverly a better place for everyone; not to take credit for yourself in doing it. Small town politics is a thankless job. It's time for EVERYONE to learn that, and to start thinking about what your working against eachother is doing to this place that used to be a close knit community. You have neighbors who used to be friends against those same neighbors now. And for what? Because you want to be the one who's right.
It's time for EVERYONE to work together as a team. That's the only way that Beverly is going to get out of this hole. Unfortunately, it seems that's too difficult a pill for some to swallow, so things are looking bleak for us.
Okay, off my soapbox now, so that the Anonymous can jump on here and criticize my whole blog post. That's fine though. As I said before, you're entitled to your opinion. But hopefully most will notice that I'm not singling out either side, and I feel that if you have to tear me apart, you're defending a guilty conscience.
But that's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it as well.
So feel free to tear me up now. When I don't respond, don't think that I can't hold my own in a debate; I can. This is just a silly blog filled with only half truths, and for the most part, I don't like contributing to it. So again, when I don't respond to your attacks YOU haven't silenced me. YOU haven't left me with nothing to say. I promise, it has noting to do with YOU.

I thought the Rat's picture was taken down by the river, not the Gardens area. Where is that Karen?

The picture looks like all of the members of council that voted to accept the affordable housing money, to fix up and deed restrict all of those homes for 10 years, so that only low income people can live in them. How will this town ever improve so that a stable middle class move back. How do you expect low income residents to maintain the type of homes we have here in Beverly. This is why good people are moving out when they can. The RATS won and the I hope you all are proud of what our town has become because of your mismanagement.

I have been in Beverly for 20 years and have never witnessed this "city" as a "close-knit" community. The last time I checked, Beverly has been about the "D's" for all of those 20 years. What have the "D's" done but further decay the city? If it were not for the "R's" that took office in 2007, the city would not have a housing inspector who is actually doing his job and inspecting houses and rental units, citing violations and taking perpetrators to court. In Beverly's political arena, Republicans stand for the rule of law; Democrats stand for the lawless. Afterall, they are led by one.

Well, based on the comments here, it would appear that anonymous thinks the rat is City Council President Luis Crespo. I have to agree.

I will sign my name to this comment since the both the Municipal Court as well as the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey sitting in Mount Holly have ruled, inter alia, that Mr. Crespo is a Public Figure, that the Constitution of the United States provides freedom of the press, that public figures must prove both actual malice as well as actual damage in a slander suit, and that calling public figures names does not constitute harassment.

Where, you may well ask, did the courts make such statements. Well, in one case Lyin Luie the Traitor charged me, Bob Germer, with criminal harassment for daring to call him a (I quote the transcript here) "A stinking pile of manure" when I confronted him about his unpaid real estate taxes which I first raised as a member of Beverly City Council. A conflict judge and prosecutor who had to be hired because both Luie and I sat on the Council which hired the municipal judge and prosecutor found Luie's claim of harassment unfounded and entered a finding of "Not Guilty" against me. The conflict judge, btw, is a Democrat which is what Luie claims to be these days.

In the second instance, Luie charged the President of the City School Board, Bob Thibault, with harassment for daring to attempt to collect a debt for labor which Thibault provided for a client of Luie. Admittedly, Bob used language common on any worksite, but again we have the nasty problem of that pesky First Amendment which protects such speech. In this case the Democrat Conflict judge entered a guilty verdict against Mr. Thibault. Mr. Thibault exercised his right to appeal and the appeal was handled in Superior Court by a Senior Judge who has been on the court for years and is well versed in the Law. In a hearing which literally lasted less than a minute, the prosecutor told the judge that the prosecution did not have enough matter to proceed and the Judge agreed and dismissed the complaint and voided the conviction thus clearing Mr. Thibault.
